    1. As the place I worked in the music industry for years, and my friends who worked round the corner in digital editing I full heartedly say SAVE SOHO! a cultural capital of the world and honestly the most fun place I have ever worked in my life. The best bars, restaurants and everything in between. It really is the best place in London bar NONE! It should never be turned into a residential area, it should continue to be the diverse hub of London and t o be enjoyed by everyone. Boris, do your job and save our cultural Mecca

    2. SOHO is what makes London London in every sense. Without it we would not only give up the community but a part of ourselves. SOHO (The original, copied around the world) IS the epitome of London. London without SOHO is no longer London.

  3. SOHO should be saved its full of character, world famous , vibrant and has so much history … if soho goes .. so should the people that make that happen.

  4. Soho is a unique place that has retained its character . Please don’t destroy part of Londons cultural history. Its so special and that is what draws so many to visit it’s vibrant charming cafes and clubs. Please don’t make Soho bland and like any other expensive sanitised developed area.

  5. When a friend on the internet sent the message that SOHO was at stake I could not believe it. As a foreigner, german, I have lived in London years ago. I love the city and love SOHO. It is the heart of the city, it is freedom, cultural and intellectual freedom, it is like a jewellery box, sparkling , thrilling. When you go back home you feel rich with from the spirit you have met there. People all over the world love London and feel that SOHO is the heart beat of the city. To destroy SOHO is to tear your own heart into pieces ! Please do not destroy SOHO – we love it !!!

  6. Please, please stop Soho becoming a ‘clone’ area filled with chain bars and restaurants etc, which can be found everywhere else. We need parts of this city to remain unique, for all the richness and quality this brings. I have lived in London for 20 years, and Soho was the first area I got to know, and I still regularly frequent the area because it’s a haven – a refuge – from the mainstream.

  7. They can’t get rid of Soho it is a great place. I have fond memories from years back partying away. Soho has to much history.

  8. Since time began in Soho it has been a melting pot for people to have a sense of freedom, a place where you can come and be at one with yourself, a place where you can explore yourself, a place where you can recharge the battery’s of your life. It’s a vibrant, colourful and explosive place full of every walk of life, take it away and it becomes another bland and heartless place. It’s a place where adults can come and not be judged or feel guilty. A place of safety for the persecuted, a place of fun for the fun lovers, a place of camaraderie and a place for like minded thinkers. We need a place like Soho, to feel wanted and loved, because it’s the mothers arms of London. It feeds us with life, nurtures us and teaches us the rights and the wrongs. It quite simply the épée centre of London. Please don’t destroy it.

  9. Oh Please – do not let the developers in, do not let us stand by and see another area of London be ‘developed’ purely for some one else’s gain. Every where in London we are seeing the destruction of an area just in order for developers to make money.
    Leave Camden alone.

  10. I was born and have lived my entire life in London – too many changes are going on and not always for the better. Soho is unique – I was there just Monday afternoon at the Curzon Cinema where I go regularly. It will end up an area just for millionaires which is happening all the time now and London full of people who ‘invest’ in property and flats are left empty with no money being put in to the local structure.

  11. Why would we want to destroy such heritage? It’s unthinkable, disgraceful, and disturbing that there are those who would want to take something so wonderful and strip it of all it’s character, beauty and life for what? … Money? For people who obviously don’t care or understand what makes London so special! SAVE SOHO!

  12. Soho has such a special character which is slowly being whittled away. The market is a shadow of what it was although the street food stalls have helped to keep it alive. I am really sad that That’s Andy is going – one of the few shops that sells everyday things all in one place.
